在中国深圳有一个大型的人才市场，它为各大电子工厂服务-招聘工人。但却有一批想逃离工厂但又很难获得更好工作的青年盘踞在这周边。潦倒的他们聚集在公园的角落里，宁愿睡在草丛边，与公园的野蘑菇相伴，也不愿进入工厂出卖自己。

   他们中的很多人来自农村，有一部分也来自我的家乡。我的家人也常年在外地务工，但我并不了解他们的处境。种蘑菇是几乎每个农村长大的人都有的经历，所以我邀请他们和我一起在龙华公园种植粉色蘑菇，并照顾它们，直到蘑菇长大。蘑菇是建立我们之间信任关系的媒介，也是借机观察这些青年们的方式。

   这些如肉般粉红的蘑菇也是这些青年人生命片段的凝结。待蘑菇长大，我将它们采摘，做成精致的蘑菇宴，并邀请深圳另一头的白领青年们来食用。但在在宴会进行中，种蘑菇过程的视频会投影在餐厅的墙面，以这种突兀的方式将不同生存处境的两波青年相遇。在咀嚼中感受另一群如此靠近却又陌生的人群。

In Shenzhen, China, there's a bustling talent market where major electronics factories actively recruit workforce. However, a group of restless young individuals, desiring to escape factory life but struggling to find better opportunities, lingers around this area. Living in destitution, they gather in corners of the park, preferring to sleep by the bushes, accompanied by wild mushrooms, rather than selling themselves to the factories.

Many of them come from rural areas, some even from my hometown. Despite my family working away from home for years, I don't fully understand their situations. Growing mushrooms is an experience shared by almost every person raised in the countryside. So, I invited them to join me in planting pink mushrooms in Longhua Park and taking care of them until they grew. The mushrooms served as a medium to build trust between us and a way to observe these young people.

The delicate, pink-hued mushrooms, resembling slivers of meat, serve as poignant symbols encapsulating fragments of their lives. When the mushrooms mature, I harvest them to craft an exquisite banquet, inviting young white-collar workers from the bustling urban landscape of Shenzhen to partake. During the banquet, videos of the mushroom-growing process are projected on the restaurant's walls, abruptly bringing together two groups of young people with different life circumstances. Chewing on mushrooms with a meat-like texture, one experiences the proximity and yet strangeness of the other group.
